#WhyNFW Menswear Event
If you've been following along, you know that I am passionate about creating spaces where diverse persons feel comfortable and that I greatly enjoy the world of Menswear and men's style (obviously). So I was excited to hear that this year Nashville Fashion Week was hosting an event specifically geared towards Menswear. Not only was this the first year that that has happened, but I was honored to be able to play a small role as a local Nashville Influencer. If you remember from previous posts, I was asked to be a host blogger for the 2nd Annual Blogger Brunch organized by Nashville Fashion Week. As an extension of that, I was given admission to this event and was able to meet and mingle with others interested in Menswear and admirers. I had a great time and want to offer my kudos to the team at Nashville Fashion Week for this amazing gathering!
Nashville Fashion Week partnered with Oz Arts Nashville and hosted all of the runway shows there. I was able to attend a show, and I assure that it was amazing. This particular event was co-hosted by Tim Oxgener, CEO of Oz Arts Nashville and Brian Barry, Publisher of Nashville Lifestyles Magazine (a magazine near and dear to my heart). Oak Hall Nashville, an event sponsor, also presented several looks from Eleventy Milano. One of the highlights of the evening was witnessing Edward's Shoes placing patina on shoes while attendees watched - it was an amazing process to watch and experience. Not only this, but we enjoyed light bites and sushi provided by Virago, and cocktails were provided courtesy of Bar Alliance Nashville and Pennington Distilling Co.’ All of this surrounded by the gorgeous space that is 505 Nashville, with amazing views of downtown Nashville. I can only hope that this will become a regular occurrence with Nashville Fashion Week. It was great to see the diversity and focus on menswear.
