A Final Farewell
I think that we might be able to finally say goodbye to that fall and winter wear. I will say, however, that these are my favorite seasons to dress for. So even though I am (somewhat) excited to see and feel some warmer temperatures, I am a little sad to see the cooler weather go. But not before I get a few more wears out of one of my new favorite cold-weather pieces.
Usually I shy away from the workwear, but recently I have recently taken a liking to the expansion of my wardrobe. In that, this is my first shirt-jacket (is "shacket" a word?) and I am sorry I did not purchase one sooner. It's a great alternative to a denim jacket, blazer, or other layer of similar weight. I have found it easy to throw it on over almost any shirt and go. I think that it was a solid addition and I will be able to use it often. If the fatigue is too much, I have seen them in solid colors as well - navy, green, yellow, and even plaids.
Because I love to mix and experiment with color, pattern, and texture, this particular look brings my love for streetwear to the forefront. I opted for the Nike FlyKnits for contrast and kept everything else basic as to not be too busy; a solid cap, dark denim, and a heather grey v-neck round this fun and casual look. I will definitely be bringing this piece out again in the fall (and maybe before!).
Let me know what you think in the comments - would you wear this jacket? And what would you wear it with?
