Staying Cool in the Cold
If you’re anything like me, you enjoy the thrill (or the need) of thinking of new combinations and pairings when it comes to your wardrobe. I sometimes purposefully do not pick out my clothing the night before because I want to be forced to be creative when I am dressing in the morning. This is produced one of two scenarios; I come up with a great new combination, and/or I am late to where I am going. Either way, I had fun - I think.
Anyway, today’s post is titled "Staying Cool in the Cold." The idea is to provide a few ideas on how to layer and still retain a bit of a stylish edge. For the purposes of this post, I used the denim jacket, and if you haven’t been able to tell by now, I love my denim jacket. I believe that every man should own a quality denim coat - it covers a multitude of sin! It can immediately bring a sense of "togetherness" to a previously "untogether" look. (Yes I just made that word up)
Another love of mine is denim on denim. I know that many people don't necessarily agree with the wear of multiple denim washes at the same time, but I love the perspective that it brings. I matched this look with a black wool turtle-neck (another autumn/winter staple), a velvet slipper, and a colored sock. If you sill need some extra warmth, throw on a quilted vest like the herringbone pictured.
Velvet slippers aren’t your thing? – throw on those fall lace up boots (which I'll feature late this soon), wingtips, your sneakers ... or most any other shoe. The great thing about denim is that it goes with anything. Don't feel restricted. I do realize that this is more of an edgy look, but where’s the fun in looking like everyone else?! Check out the pics below and let me know what you think! Would you wear this look? (Look Details below)
